Cosquerade is an event dedicated to Japanese pop culture. If you like Anime, Manga, or Cosplay, this is the place for you! Join our cosplay party on Halloween! Everyone is welcome!

Former Bank of Japan’s Hiroshima Branch is one of Hiroshima City’s Important Cultural Properties since the building survived from the Atomic bombing. The building has been open as a historical museum and for non-profit cultural activities by the municipality. We wish everyone to know what the atomic bombing was like by seeing a piece of historic sites in Hiroshima.

Programming

October 31st (Sun) Cosplay on Halloween

cosplayEnjoy a piece of Modern Japanese pop culture with “costume roleplay”, otherwise known as “cosplay”. Dress up as one of your favorite characters and join the party at the Former Bank of Japan’s Hiroshima Branch on Halloween. As a historical site of Hiroshima, the former Hiroshima Branch has the perfect ambience for fun cosplay photo shoots!
Want to cosplay? Or take photos? Feel free to do both! This event is welcome to everyone.
* No sign-up is required.
* The changing rooms are free of charge.
* Free rental costumes will be available to cosplay beginners!

[To those who would like a free rental costume]
Each rental consume is available once per person for an hour.
Sign up with your valid ID or cellphone number at the reception in the basement.
Approximately 30 rental costumes are available in men’s size, women’s size and kids’ size.

October 30th (Sat) Public Seminar hosted by Hiroshima Monogym

Instructors from Hiroshima Monogym will be teaching their secrets and tricks! Hiroshima Monogym is a private school dedicated to the growth of writing, manga, illustration, and more. Come learn from the very best as they show the process of their work. You can’t miss an opportunity like this! Feel free to join the seminar!

This exhibition will feature a gallery of traditional Japanese art and modern Japanese art. Learn about the Japanese with traditional “Ukiyo-e” style prints and paintings as well as modern Japanese art.
